Lakhani Scholars 2020 Application Open

Dear friends and educators,
We are thrilled to announce that our 2020 Lakhani Scholars applications are officially open. This is our third year offering this remarkable opportunity to low-income students with strong academic records and ambitions. High school sophomores are eligible to apply, with a final deadline of October 1, 2020.
Lakhani Coaching is an elite NYC-based educational consulting company that provides high school students with one-on-one mentorship in academics, test preparation, and character development. We serve clients across the United States and in over a dozen countries around the world. Our students have garnered acceptances to such prestigious schools as Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and UPenn.
Most of our current clients hail from privileged backgrounds, but founder Hafeez Lakhani aspires for Lakhani Coaching to one day advise as many low-income students as fee-paying students. This dream is rapidly becoming a reality through the success of our Lakhani Scholars program. In fact, our inaugural Lakhani Scholar Lisa David was recently accepted early decision to her top choice college: George Washington University.
Lakhani Scholars awards $10,000 of our coaching services to qualifying high school sophomores over three years. Students chosen for this scholarship will receive, at zero cost , a full suite of our one-on-one, globally renowned tutoring services. This includes SAT/ACT preparation, college admissions help, academic guidance, and character coaching for the remainder of their high school career.
Our sincere hope is for Lakhani Scholars to reach the most talented students in need. Feel free to share this newsletter with those in your network who may be interested. If you know of any motivated, financially challenged high school sophomores who might be suitable candidates for this program, please encourage them to apply. Our deadline for applications is October 1, 2020.

Our Current Lakhani Scholars
Lisa David (left) , our inaugural Lakhani Scholar, attends high school in an Atlanta neighborhood that has one of the highest concentrations of HIV/AIDS in the United States. She emigrated from Liberia and spoke no English just five years ago, but she proved to be a motivated student with big dreams of success in America. Lisa was accepted early decision to George Washington University after two years of free test preparation and college admissions counseling from Lakhani Coaching.
Fernanda Padilla Colin (right) is a high school junior who aspires to work in law and politics. She aims to someday use her experience as a first-generation Mexican-American to help disenfranchised people navigate the complex immigration system. She is a squash player, sustainability club leader, robotics team member, and has a 4.0 GPA.
